These particular records are showing you that your customer is having a problem getting connected. Note the Connect Progress and Disconnect Cause. In this case, there appears to be a problem with a phoneline or modem. If you have CLID enabled on your PRI/T1, you could use this as a wonderful helpdesk tool. Our customers, for example, can call in, give us their phone number, and we can read from the radius logs (which are in SQL) and tell the customer almost exactly why they're having problems. As for your billing software, tell it to ignore records without usernames. Without that username, there's nothing else it can do. If it really bothers you, and you don't want these, log into your max, go to ethernet, mod config, Accounting, and set "Allow Stop Only" to No. -- Troy Settle Pulaski Networks 540.994.4254 ** -----Original Message----- ** From: owner-ascend-users at max.bungi.com ** [mailto:owner-ascend-users at max.bungi.com]On Behalf Of Roddy Strachan ** Sent: Tuesday, October 10, 2000 7:34 AM ** To: ascend ** Subject: (ASCEND) Empty Logins in radius with max? ** ** ** Hi, ** Just wondering if anyone has any ideas why the Max is ** recording empty ** radius entries, which is causing havoc with our billing ** system please see ** examples : ** ** ** Mon Oct 9 09:06:52 2000 ** NAS-IP-Address = x.x.x.x ** NAS-Port-Id = 20116 ** NAS-Port-Type = Async ** Acct-Status-Type = Stop ** Acct-Delay-Time = 0 ** Acct-Session-Id = "339585301" ** Ascend-Disconnect-Cause = 185 ** Ascend-Connect-Progress = 31 ** Ascend-Xmit-Rate = 0 ** Ascend-Data-Rate = 0 ** Ascend-PreSession-Time = 26 ** Ascend-Pre-Input-Octets = 0 ** Ascend-Pre-Output-Octets = 0 ** Ascend-Pre-Input-Packets = 0 ** Ascend-Pre-Output-Packets = 0 ** Ascend-Modem-PortNo = 15 ** Ascend-Modem-SlotNo = 4 ** Called-Station-Id = "97881000" ** Timestamp = 971046412 ** ** Mon Oct 9 10:15:10 2000 ** NAS-IP-Address = x.x.x.x ** NAS-Port-Id = 20110 ** NAS-Port-Type = Async ** Acct-Status-Type = Stop ** Acct-Delay-Time = 0 ** Acct-Session-Id = "339585322" ** Ascend-Disconnect-Cause = 185 ** Ascend-Connect-Progress = 31 ** Ascend-Xmit-Rate = 0 ** Ascend-Data-Rate = 0 ** Ascend-PreSession-Time = 39 ** Ascend-Pre-Input-Octets = 0 ** Ascend-Pre-Output-Octets = 0 ** Ascend-Pre-Input-Packets = 0 ** Ascend-Pre-Output-Packets = 0 ** Ascend-Modem-PortNo = 4 ** Ascend-Modem-SlotNo = 4 ** Called-Station-Id = "97881000" ** Timestamp = 971050510 ** ** ** And so on... ** ** The ciscos and Pm2 we have doesn't do it, just the max's, all running ** Cistron Radius 1.6.1 ** ** Any configuration settings needed to be changed on the max's ** ** THanks ** ** --- ** Cheers, ** ** R.
