Actually, he *does* know. You can use the java configurator if you
want (it is under 
ftp://ftp.ascend.com/pub/Software-Releases/Configurator/Max200/Current
but you can *also* connect via telnet from a PC on the *same* subnet
with a similar IP address. The PC and the MAX should be the only
two devices in the hub.
