I would like to thank the people who have replied off-list about this. I think I'm in good shape for now. I seemed to have bumped into a combination of things that steered me in this direction. The first thing that wasn't clear is that my steady fault light was because I didn't have the machine at the co-lo, which meant that I didn't have any PRI lines inserted. I was assuming that it was because I didn't have the flash card in. What messed me up secondly is that I thought I was using a null modem cable to get in and configure it, but it turns out that I must be using a straight through. I'll correct that this afternoon. Since I couldn't connect with a terminal program through it, I assumed that is was because of the steady fault light and no card. I guess what they say about assuming really is true. Especially the "out of me" part. :-) I do appreciate all the help. Especially to Dana, who hooked my up with a live person that steered me straight.
