Hi Dave,

I have done this dozens of times and have had no complaints from customers.
I work with many ISP's across the country.  I think it's just a legacy
setting that is obsolete.  That's just my experience, though.

How often would one run into this? We have one unit that does this, but I
wouldn't want to cut out any couple/few users that have modems requiring
this. We're dealing with just under 1000 dialup accounts.
