I use these OIDs: 1.3.6.1.4.1.529.4.21.1.7.xx (DS0 channels in use) 1.3.6.1.4.1.529.4.21.1.13.xx (DS0 channels in service) You'll need to do a walk on these to find out what the last digit should be. In earlier versoins of TAOS, it's 2-5, in later versions, it's 4-7. Using these two OIDs together provide a very nice historical perspective on your dialup pool: http://www.psknet.com/Stats/Dialup_540.227.1515 As for figuring out what OIDs to use, this is a simple (<g>) matter of reading through the MIB for your version of TAOS. 1.3.6.1.4.1.529.4.21.1.xx gives these bits of info: .4 - total timeslots .6 - Line status (LA for normal operation) .7 - DS0 channels in use .12 - Idle DS0 channels .13 - DS0 channels in service For your traps, check out the *.trp files in the MIBS/mib directory located with the version of TAOS you're running. I don't use traps, so that's about all the help I can offer there. -- Troy Settle Pulaski Networks 540.994.4254 - 866.477.5638 http://www.psknet.com ** -----Original Message----- ** From: owner-ascend-users at max.bungi.com ** [mailto:owner-ascend-users at max.bungi.com]On Behalf Of PowerNet ** Sent: Wednesday, October 17, 2001 1:18 PM ** To: DustyC; ascend-users at bungi.com ** Subject: Re: (ASCEND) MAX 4K/6K & MRTG ** ** ** Target[max.domain.com]:1.3.6.1.4.1.529.11.5.0&1.3.6.1.4.1.529.11. ** 7.0:readpassword at 10.0.0.1 ** ** ** How do you figure the last 3 (11.5.0) and (11.7.0) numbers of ** the OID number? ** ** Do those identify the trap type, and if so, where can we find ** the trap numbers and descriptions? ** ** Thanks, ** John ** ** ** *********** REPLY SEPARATOR *********** ** ** On 10/16/2001 at 4:15 PM DustyC wrote: ** ** >Here is how I am using MRTG to track analog and ISDN channels in ** >use on 6096 boxes.
