Hi, Just joined the list I currently have been put in charge of looking after an ascend pipeline 50 which is used for our networks internet connection (400+ pcs on a 128k is not pretty) Details about the Ascend box Security Prof: 1 Software +5.0A+ S/N: 7317278 (yay its over 72xxxxx) For firewalling I am currently using Secure Access Manager v2.0A. No doubt there is newer software, but with the Ascend site closed and the lucent site seemingly impossible to use. I doubt I will ever find it. Not that it matters as it seems to work fine, except for the life of me I can not seem to block broadcast pings. Except by individually adding a rule for each new source that attacks us. If anyone has any ideas for blocking broad cast pings I would appreciate it greatly.
