>> Ascend-Idle-Limit = 0, >> Ascend-Maximum-Call-Duration = 0, > >Are these parameters the same as sending: > >Idle-timeout = 0 >Session-timeout = 0 ?? Almost. There are two groups of attributes: a) Idle-Timeout (28) and Ascend-Idle-Timeout (244): Both attributes are identical and specify the maximum idle time in seconds for a call. Calls disconnected because of an idle timeout may report disconnect codes 100, 105 or 106. b) Session-Timeout (27), Ascend-Maximum-Time (194) and Ascend-Maximum-Call-Duration (125): Session-Timeout and Ascend-Maximum-time are identical and specify the maximum time that a session can remain connected, in _seconds_. Ascend-Maximum-Call-Duration is expressed in _minutes_ and it specifies the maximum time that a call within a session can remain connected. For PPP calls, this attribute is identical (except for the units) to Session-Timeout and Ascend-Maximum-Time. However, for MP or MPP calls, the Ascend-Maximum-Call-Duration attribute controls the maximum time for each call within the MP/MPP bundle, whereas Session-Timeout and Ascend-Maximum-Time specify the maximum time that a given bundle can remain connected. Calls disconnected because of an session time limit will report disconnect code 195. For attributes that are identical in function (Idle-Timeout == Ascend-Idle-Limit, and Session-Timeout == Ascend-Maximum-Time), the last attribute specified in the RADIUS response supersedes any previous value. BTW, there is yet another idle timeout attribute, Ascend-TS-Idle-Limit, which applies only to terminal server and rlogin sessions.
