Upgrading a Max 4000 based on some documentation/firmware I found and the ftp.ascend.com/pub/Software-Releases/Max/Archive/Incremental I began an upgrade process for our 4000. Its version was well below 4.6Ci18. It was my understanding to use the versions here to migrate to a version above 6. I began by installing the first, 4.6Ci18, then attempted 5.0Ai13. This version 5 applied fine however after reset the max still reported version 4.6Ci18. I am perplexed. The device seemed to function properly however after several days a remote site quit operating. After a reset the site will work again but only for a day or two. I went back to the first upgrade, 4.6Ci18 and it is the same issue.
