Set Signal Mode to ISDN 2. Check Framing Mode and Encoding. These most likely will need to be set to ESF and B8ZS respectively. 3. Make sure all channels are mapped to slot 0. This is a gotcha that got me in the switchover. I had all channels mapped to slot 3 and this worked just fine for dialup. But it would not let ISDN connect. Hopefully this will help some. Message-ID: <002401c22736$2db2b940$12fd2fd8@Admin01> We are trying to move a CT1 from a PM-3 to a Max 6096. The CT1 is currently setup as Trunk-side, B8ZS, ESF, Wink-Start.. When we dial in to the max, we receive a busy signal. When we telnet into the max, we see it attempting to connect as we see the line changine from '-' to 'r' to 'c'. As we watch the telnet connection, we attempt to dial into the max, and we see it picking up on two channels: Jul 9 05:38:48 max6000 ASCEND: call 80 AN slot 7 port 5 56KR Jul 9 05:38:48 max6000 ASCEND: call 80 CL 0K c=185 p=10 Jul 9 05:38:48 max6000 ASCEND: slot 7 port 5, line 4, channel 2, Call Disconnected [MBID 352] Jul 9 05:38:49 max6000 ASCEND: call 81 AN slot 7 port 6 56KR Jul 9 05:38:49 max6000 ASCEND: call 81 CL 0K c=185 p=10 Jul 9 05:38:49 max6000 ASCEND: slot 7 port 6, line 4, channel 3, Call Disconnected [MBID 353] The telnet to the max shows the first line go from '-' to 'r' to 'c', but the second line goes from '-' to 'c', so my guess is that the switch is seeing the first line busy, and rolling it to the next line. Another thing that we are seeing is that CH 24 is repeatedly going into an answer state. From the syslogs we see repeated entries for CH 24 (different 'call' numbers): Jul 9 05:36:08 max6000 ASCEND: call 74 AN slot 6 port 15 56KR Jul 9 05:36:28 max6000 ASCEND: call 74 CL 0K c=185 p=31 Jul 9 05:36:28 max6000 ASCEND: slot 6 port 15, line 4, channel 24, Call Disconnected [MBID 346] Which it then ends up in the Answer stage. lqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqk x20-200 1234567890 x x L2/LA ---------- x x 12345678901234 x x -------------* x lqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqk I currently have the Max 6096 configured as: 20-100 Line Config 20-1** Factory Name=Factory 1st Line=Trunk 2nd Line=Trunk Line 1 .... I am at a point where I can get users to dial in, authenticate and such. However, I am getting random customers with different versions of Windows that can ping and traceroute without a problem but anything that is tcp based fails. I have turned off compression in answer-defaults and my connection profile. I have removed Framed-Compression=Van-Jacobson from every user in my radius users file. Some users are able to work again if we have them remove "use software compression" under their Dialup Networking connection profile. Other users doing this results in the same problem. Can anyone please help? I really would like to get rid of all these cisco terminal servers once and for all. Cheers, Jeffrey --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. I am presently under protective custody in Nigeria as a political refugee. I got your contact during my search for a stranger that can cooperate with me in this mutual transaction. I want you to note that this business will benefit both of us. However, you must confirm your ability to handle this because it involves a large amount of money. The money (50 million US DOLLARS is my share of my father's estate. I boxed and shipped the money to a security company abroad at the peak of the war/political crisis that rocked my country few years ago. Now the crisis has ended and I need a trustworthy person like you to proceed to the place of the security company in order to clear the fund and invest on my behalf as I don?t want my name to be used for now. Note that I will send to you the relevant documents that will enable you take possession of the fund for onward investment for our mutual benefit. All I need from you is as follows: 1.A letter of commitment (dully signed) that you will keep the transaction strictly confidential. 2. Your confirmation of your ability to handle this. 3. Your international passport or driving license number for identification to the security company. 4. Your telephone and fax numbers for communication. 5. Your full permanent address. As soon as I get the above information from you, I will disclose to you the name and the country of the security company. I will forward your name and particulars to the security company to enable them contact you accordingly. I will also send to you a LETTER OF AUTHORITY to enable you clear the fund on my behalf. Note that this is a very safe transaction as this money is my share of my father's estate. I am waiting for your response to enable us proceed. It had been assigned the same if-admin SNMP interface number as slot 3 item 5 and that prevented BB from finding it. The sloution was to issue the "if-admin -r" command and reset the system. All devices were reread and reassigned interface numbers. Now BB finds slot 1 item 1 as it had for the previous TNT. I don't know how this happened, but we were installing all cards at the same time. Still, it seems bizarre. Message-ID: <32EEB28BC317EE4AB4A00685BA7266A369A9E2@webacct.nt.cetlink.net> Hi all, I am trying to figure out how to set up filters on a TNT. I am needing to pass the name of the filter via radius as I do with my cisco and portmasters. Below are the cisco and portmaster filter. I hope someone can point me in the right direction so this is portable across the network so if a user hits a cisco, a pm3 or a tnt they get the same results. Putting the actual filter in the radius file is not an option. All help greatly appreciated. The MaxTNT acutally has some *really* good SNMP capabilities; far better than the AS5248s I've been monkeying with. Grab their MIB files from their FTP site and start plugging away. You can correlate users to lines and connect speeds, byte transfers, filters, etc. It's very nice. There are problems we are facing with it. a) MAX suddenly stops authenticating users from radius. (at the same time another NAS-5300 authenticates the same user perfectly). b) Also the MAX stops accepting telnet requests whereas the remote user and LAN users can successfully ping the MAX box. After some time either the problem goes away itself or the telnet problem goes on endlessly. MAX 6000 has TAOS ver 9.0.3 with DSP cards. Any ideas what could be the issue ? If you want to check the stats on the card, you have to open a session with the slot card, by typing the following: open If you are not running multi-shelf slave set-ups, your shelf number should always be one. My sample has the card in slot two: laxsbc01>open 1 2 t3-1/2> Now just type "?" to see all the commands you have available to interface directly with that card. The command to get statistics and alarms is "ds3link", and to see all your options, type "ds3link ?". When you are done interfacing with the CT3 slot card directly, be sure to close the session by typing "quit" which will bring you back to a regular TNT command prompt. By the way, if their DS-3 is flopping, you may want to bust out a Telco test set and work the problem from the actual DS-3 and the not card in the TNT. The "My Addr" setting is actually your ethernet. See below. I suggest ignoring the address settings under the Configure... menu, because they are ambiguous. When you set up the ethernet config and the connection profile, TAOS will fill them in with the proper information for you. | ethernet > connections | Station = Cisco | Active = Yes | Encaps = PPP | Route IP = Yes | Bridge = No | IP Options > | LAN Adrs = 192.168.4.1/30 Add this: If Adrs = 192.168.4.2/30 That's your side of the T1 (rather, your T1 interface). | ethernet > mod config > ether options | IP adrs = 192.168.4.2/30 | 2nd Adrs = 208.x.x.1/25 This is wrong. Remove the 2nd Adrs, and change IP Adrs to 208.x.x.1/25. You will end up having this: cisco wan: 192.168.4.1/30 (your default gateway) ascend wan: 192.168.4.2/30 ascend ether: 208.x.x.1/25 -James ++ Ascend Users Mailing List ++ To unsubscribe: send unsubscribe to ascend-users-request@bungi.com Archives: http://www.nexial.com/mailinglists/ From info at learntoflyoh.com Sat Jul 20 18:28:05 2002 From: info at learntoflyoh.com (Brandon) Date: Tue Jan 18 14:04:28 2005 Subject: [Ascend] (ASCEND) Ever wanted to learn to fly? $45 intro flight lesson in North Eastern Ohio Message-ID: We offering a special introductory flight lesson at the Geauga County Airport in Middlefield Ohio.
