Howard,
If the TNT is showing "64K" then you have succeeded in establishing a
digital call. The next step is to do a controlled test. Hopefully,
you have the TNT in a lab where you can experiment a bit.

You want to do this so that only one call is on the TNT. Otherwise,
it will be harder to figure it out. First, down all the modem cards
(slot -d <slotnumber>) so that only one modem card remains up.
Open that card (open 1 <slotnumber>) and enter this command:
madd-1/5> wandis 64

Then, place the digital call and observe the output. There should be
a few "RECV" and "XMIT" blocks. If you get something else (or nothing), your 
problem is on the other end. Use ethereal or RFC1661 to decode the output 
and try to find out what happens on the PPP negotiations. Are you actually 
negotiating authentication? Is there anything besides LCP packets (protocol 
c021)?

If none of these ideas help, you should probably try contacting Lucent
Tech Support. They can verify your configuration.
