You might like to try "wannext" instead of "wandis".
wandis (short for wandisplay) prints every frame of every call.
wannext displays the frames of one call only, namely the
next call.

You might also try the "debug on" command. If debug is off,
all the debug commands you gave work their little hearts out,
but nothing appears on the screen.
