Hi there-
I'm new to this forum, but I have heard it is informative.

I have a used Ascend Max 4000 that I bought used from a friend's ex-boss who runs an ISP. It came with (3) MX-SL-16MOD-S56 modules. When I received it, it booted fine, and I was able to serial console into it with no problems. I put it into the rack w/ all of the other routers and plugged the ISDN connection into it and began configuring it, then got called away to another project. It stayed there powered up for about a month, when I came back to it.

It now will not boot if any of the 16MOD modules are plugged in. If I remove them, it boots fine. The documentation is somewhat lacking for troubleshooting this device. I'm a Cisco CCNA and usually can figure most anything out, but I can't get a handle on this one.
Any ideas?

Thanks
Brian Robison
