I have a Cisco 800 and a Portmaster OR-U, each with 2 ISDNs currently dialed in and working with a Livingston PM-3 All is well. I also have a Max 6000 that is correctly working with analogue dialup users as well as a couple people that have ISDN modems hooked to their computers. Everything is using radius.... If I try to switch the phone numbers on the OR-u or the Cisco 800, nether will log in !!! No radius logs at all even when I run it in debug..... any help would be o so appreciated.... I have verified the username and password will work on an analogue line so I know the username and password are validating. I have tried to dial in using only one b channel as well..... no difference. The max is running 8.0.3 version if that matters..... The main differences are in the feature set and the number of ports. I guess I'm not sure I understand what are you trying to do. Are you trying to dial into the 2000? Or are you trying to use the 2000 to simulate a PBX? The 2000 is a RAS that it can be convinced to play other roles but it is not a PBX. >I also cannot get a pipeline 50 to reset. >When I do a ef it gives me a Pipeline 4 wire statement. > >But will not take a df download flash, on 1k-Xmodem-g It >goes as far as 30% then states error 07 illegal command call >Ive tried 4 different verisons of the same file that is loaded b.p50. > >The Pipeline will always reboot with a configuration, > >** It acts like ef is doing nothing. ** > >The normal xmodem will not download to the router. > >Do you have or know anyone who might have any solutions ??? First question: are you entering nindy? The 'ef' and 'df' commands are valid only on nindy mode (which requires opening the case and jumpering two pins which will void any warranty you may have). Second question: there are two kinds of Pipeline 50: the "old" one (with a sliding switch on the back) and the "new" one, without the sliding switch. Depending on which one you have, you may need a different load. _________________________________________________________________ Join the world’s largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com ++ Ascend Users Mailing List ++ To unsubscribe: send unsubscribe to ascend-users-request@bungi.com Archives: http://www.nexial.com/mailinglists/ From max_and_tnt at hotmail.com Tue Oct 15 14:12:33 2002 From: max_and_tnt at hotmail.com (Joe Max) Date: Tue Jan 18 14:04:25 2005 Subject: [Ascend] Re: (ASCEND) Ip-pools Message-ID: >From: "Brian Goodenow" > >Hello. > >I have a single Max TNT for dialup Internet users. So if you are blocking specific traffic only (telnet,FTP), make sure to add a 'forward any' at the end. If you are just wanting to allow specific traffic only (WWW,ARP), than do not add the 'forward any' filter.
