Wanted to thank every body who tried to help. This is the situation I am encountering. I am powering on this damn max 6000. The fault, data and power LEDs become on. They stay on and nothing else is happening. I try to get to console port with straight cable and usual settings (9600-N-1-8 no flow control). I get nothing!. Then I decided to short the jumper p10 and get it to nindy. Again I get nothing in hyper terminal. My guess is that the flash is corrupted. Does any body know if it is worth it I get some pcmcia flash and see if it gets booted from flash? Would it be feasiable? If so can any body tell me where I can get the flash and how much does it cost me? Any advise or suggestion. The radius logs showed the redir protocol, IP address and the port being assigned to the user but somehow these were not being applied to the user profile. How ever there was no problem in auth and acct. I am using 9.09 TAOS version. Can u plz elaborate as to how you reached to this conclusion tht this is a TAOS issue? Unfortunately, I only have the complete docs for TAOS 9.0 and only partial docs for 9.1. My 9.0 docs, specifically the "Max TNT RADIUS Guide 9.0.pdf" file in Table A-2, "Attributes and parameters in numeric order" do not show those attributes as being available. Since it is defined in some dictionary versions of RADIUS, I assume support for this was added in a later version of TAOS. I just don't know which. I don't have access to 9.2, 10.0 or 10.1beta docs. I also don't have access to the 9.1 Radius Guide, if such a thing was written. I should have access, as I have licensed copies of the software... I have a stack of max 4048's and 6090's and I am having a weird problem with ISDN multichannel users from one of bell's local switches. Basically, any time a multichannel call spans more than one max, the second channels runs errors, has sequencing problems and the connection dies a slow death. In the past, I had an issue (years ago) with my local configuration and multi channel calls. I don't even remember what it was. Has anyone encountered this same issue and are there any gotchas on multichannel configs? Maybe I bumped a config somewhere. Any ideas or suggestions much appreciated. I am currently in charge of a small office network and a specific database program that we have purchased and installed is not working correctly. The authors need PC anywhere access through our router to help diagnose and correct the issues with the database. In order to do this they have asked for me to configure the Pipeline to: Allow their public IP: 66.152.236.146 across any firewall that may be set up in the router and also forward IP request from them (66.152.236.146) to the static IP address of my router for ports 5631 and 5632 to 192.168.1.100. Although I has able to fumble my way through the initial configuration of this router I am clueless on how to accomplish this task correctly. I don't think that this has anything to do with my Radius implementation since the data isn't ever sent from the TNT to the Radius server. Once I actually get the data, then I can troubleshoot the server portion. I do not want to Caller ID authentication, I just want to capture the caller's number for future reference. I want to "Busy Out" or take "Out Of Service (OOS)" my E1 PRI lines or channels. Making the line does not tear down calls that are currently active on it. And when an active call disconnects, that channel is taken OOS. Reading the documentation I saw that it's possible when a T1 profile under the maintenance option setting to yes and to, only on T1 PRI (NOT E1), using the quiesce command, which I don't have on my software :( Did I explain it better? Everyone ive talked to just says "Ascends are crap, go buy something else"...if anyone has any solutions to this problem....let the list know. :) So far i have found that when i replace the battery that is in it, the reboots slow down quite a bit...it only happens about once in every 2-3 days. Both have the same config, and the users and detail files all synced up. After adding the new radius server to the list of authentication hosts and turning the new radius server on things worked fine. Dialup users were being authenticated, score. However every hour or so the Ascend box will switch between authenticating users between the newer and old radius server. An hour later it will switch back. I have no idea as to why the Ascend box is "bouncing" between the two radius servers. Authentication is being performed sucessfully, I just don't know whats governing it behavior as to what radius server it chooses. The config on the radius servers looks good, also no errors or hic-ups in the log files. Also I can't find any round robin config on the ascend. Right now I'm looking at MAX TNT and/or Auth-Timeout values being set to low, however both radius servers are only lightly loaded, so that *shouldn't* be an issue. I'm confused.
