Message-ID: <43FE12BB.7050400@flxdata.net> Hi, I'm going to configure a "new" MaxTNT with the Flash and DRAM cards. Previously I could only use 7.0.4 because I didn't have the cards. I went to ftp.ascend.com and there are several TOS 9.x.x versions. Anyone want to suggest the "better" version to use? Thanks to the group. In-Reply-To: <43FE12BB.7050400@flxdata.net> Message-ID: <005901c638c9$b3774d40$847efdcf@robertmac3> Hi, I am trying to configure a Max 6000 with V.92 and TOS 10.1.X software. I have configured it like I do all my other maxs, but this supports v.92 and voip, so it has some extra options for voip. Any way the problem is that dial-up users can connect to the max, but cannot go anywhere from there. Can telnet into the max itself. I see wan traffic. If I try a ping from the network to addresses in the ip pool of the max, they are not resolved. It looks like the unit is not broadcasting the routes for the ip's it assigns. I have double checked all the routing information, I did a show ip route and the routing table display looks like all my other units. The unit itself has not problem accessing the local network or the Internet. Any ideas? I have configured it the way I usually configure the v.90 version. There are extra options relating to voip and a few enhancements in version 10.1.X that is installed compared to the other units. My problem is that when a dial-up session connects, it cannot reach any points on the network past the Max 6000 itself. The MAX6000 IP seems to be configured correctly, since to can reach the local network and the Internet. The routing table of the Max unit is no different than that of the other units when clients are connected. I have done a factory reset and re-did the configuration screen by screen like my other units, but can not find what is causing the routing problem. The only thing I noticed is that machines on the local network do not see addressed assigned by the max. Any ideas? Regards, Robert Macri ZYMOS, Inc. There is something weird going on with the OS. First, I believe the cards support 60 modems each. But in the configuration, it see then as having only 30 channels each. My main problem is that I would like to active v.92 support. But, in the Tserv MDM modulation, there is not option for v.92. When I put the at answer string for v.92 options (moh and v.44), the unit stops processing calls. I know that the MX-SL-60M-DSP card support v.92 and so does TAOS 10.1. what is missing to get this to work?
