Any ideas? Yep. You're running dhcpd compiled against the 2.2.x kernel with a 2.0.x kernel, aren't you. You didn't mention which distribution of Debian you were trying to use and which version of dhcpd you were using, but if I were to guess from experience, that's your problem. Make sure you're grabbing the right version of dhcpd for your kernel first before you go recompiling things.
