I'm convinced that it doesn't work, and I haven't heard of anyone actually testing it against a real box. Could someone please find an IIS box somewhere, put root.exe in the scripts folder, and try this by running a browser on the server and pointing it at `http://www.dasbistro.com/default.ida?blah' ? (include the `blah' to put something in the $QUERY_STRING and trigger the script to actually do something) I tried the `rundll32 shell32.dll,SHExitWindowsEx 5' from the command line on my NT 4.0 box, and it complains that the SHExitWindowsEx function doesn't exist. I'm pretty sure that's a Win9x trick that won't work with NT. Also note that the `5' parameter will reboot the box, not shut it down. Of course, the first request should have shut down the webserver, and the second request shouldn't even work. -- _ _ _ _ _ ___ _ _ _ ___ _ _ __ Kleptomania: take / \/ \(_)| ' // ._\ / - \(_)/ ./| ' /(__ something for it. \_||_/|_||_|_\\___/ \_-_/|_|\__\|_|_\ __) [ Mike Hicks | http://umn.edu/~hick0088/ | mailto:hick0088 at tc.umn.edu ] -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
