I usually just go with the max rating on the power supply for computers, for
monitors just multiply the voltage by the max current draw if there is not a
wattage rating on the unit.  If you are trying to calculate heat output for
air conditioning take the total wattage and convert it to Btu/h.  1W=3.4121
Btu/h.

Anyone have any information as far as formulas or resources for
calculating heat output from various electronic components and comoputers?  
We need the W for all of our machines (with some room for milk, ha!) and I
am having trouble coming up with anything in the way of specific
information for our Dell and Compaq servers or approaches for calculating
the values...
