I normally twit trolling and zealotry threads. When I see what I think is a troll or zealot behavior I contact people privately. I've done that very often this week. I try to explain both sides of the story and ask people to just ignore the troll or understand the passion that people have for linux which can lead to zelotry. -BUT- When people forge smtp headers to flame someone that is just wrong.
