I'm a college student living with a couple other guys. We share a Qwest DSL connection, now getting service through visi.com -- presently using an Intel 3200 USB modem (that Qwest gave ~year ago). I have searched long and hard for Linux drivers but with no luck, so I'm guessing none have been written :) I'd like to put Linux on my computer (which is doing the NAT for us), I'm fairly sure it can tackle the task of NAT for 3 gaming college kids better than 98. I called Qwest and requested a Cisco 678, but they told me it would cost 300 something dollars. So I head over to ebay, and they're going for a couple hundred there as well. Are there any modems compatible with Qwests equipment and Linux in the poor college student price range? - Or..would anyone know how to make the 3200 get along with Linux? I'd like to hear your suggestions. Thanks, Dan Willenbring djwillenbrin at stthomas.edu
