I've got a Linksys WMP11, PCI wireless card, and a WAP11 access point
that I'm trying to get to work in Linux. I've got the card working in
windows fine, so now I'm trying Linux. I can connect just fine if I
turn off encryption. However when I turn on WEP128, I can't get any
packets through. I don't have any error messages in my message log
either, except for some attempt to transmit before initialized errors
just after the driver is loaded (these show up reguardless of the
encryption). I'm manaually entering the keys, so I don't have any
problems with key generators. I'm using the linux-wlan drivers version
0.1.13 and have run iwconfig wlan0 and it verifies that I'm connecting
to the access point:
wlan0 IEEE 802.11-b ESSID:"eggplant-wireless"
           Mode:Managed Frequency:2.437GHz Access Point: 00:06:25:50:A8:DD
Link Quality:92/100 Signal level:-108 dBm Noise level:-256 dBm
           Rx invalid nwid:0 invalid crypt:265 invalid misc:0

However I see there are invalid crypt packets, so I suspect something is
wrong here. Does anyone have any experience with this wireless setup?

I have tried various combinations of authentication setups, but I'm not
quite sure what is the correct setting: open system, shared, both.

Thanks.
