My entirely indirect understanding is that an Installfest is for getting Linux installed, and the system configured -- which certainly includes modem configuration. -----Original Message----- From: tclug-list-admin at mn-linux.org [mailto:tclug-list-admin at mn-linux.org]On Behalf Of Jackie LaVaque Sent: Monday, May 27, 2002 2:20 PM To: tclug-list at mn-linux.org Subject: [TCLUG] Installfest questions? Hi all, I'm curious about the next Installfest. From what I've read, the Installfests are where people can bring their computers and OS's to a set location, then get help with installing Linux. I am wondering if Installfest also covers installing anything *else* on a Linux system, incluing peripherals, hardware or other software, or if it's just for help in installing Linux itself? I need to get a modem in my Macintosh PPC that's running Yellow Dog 2.2, and would not mind some assistance if I can get it at an installfest.
