IIRC, Patrick may have gotten tired of the trolls. However, the Slackware forums at http://www.userlocal.com/phorum/ and http://www.linuxpackages.net/forum are alive and well. Slackware is alive and well--not only has 9.0 appeared, but security patches seem to be coming out as fast as for other distros. However, it is something of a no-frills operation. I rather like it that way.
