Thanks to all who have made comments far. I am still thinking it over and you guys have given me plenty to think about. Regarding Macs, I have considered getting a Mac, but I just don't think it would work for me. My biggest problem with a Mac laptop is only having one track pad button. I am addicted to 3 button mice (and I meant to mention that before) and my biggest annoyance when using somebody else's Mac is the one button mouse. My other complaint with Macs is vague, but though OS X is pretty, it just doesn't grab me. I can see how it would appeal to people, but for a variety of reasons its not for me. And I don't really want to run Linux on yet another alternate architecture - at least on a machine that I have to purchase new. -- Jim Crumley |Twin Cities Linux Users Group Mailing List (TCLUG) crumley at fields.space.umn.edu |Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota Ruthless Debian Zealot |http://www.mn-linux.org/ Never laugh at live dragons |Dmitry's free,Jon's next? http://faircopyright.org _______________________________________________ TCLUG Mailing List - Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota http://www.mn-linux.org tclug-list at mn-linux.org https://mailman.real-time.com/mailman/listinfo/tclug-list
