Hey, Just my 2 cents as well, Suse Pro 9.0 is a pretty great thing. Yast2 is a very easy way to manage your installed software and YOU keeps you up to date. I can understand the desire to compile all your software from source, but I trust SUSE corporate enough to install their updates off the internet. It's quite easy to schedule to do itself, or to have a unexperienced user do it. I feel it's a bit easier then RedHat's update network. Konqueror (I use Moz mostly anyway) knows when you're downloading a RPM and it gives you a one click installation of the program through Yast2. Just like Irix and it's tardist files. Anyway, see you around the list.... -m -- inv][sik corporation matt jurcich, networkologist _______________________________________________ TCLUG Mailing List - Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota http://www.mn-linux.org tclug-list at mn-linux.org https://mailman.real-time.com/mailman/listinfo/tclug-list
