Every bit of it worked with a default installation of Fedora Core 3, with the exception of the Atheros 802.11g which you have to compile your own drivers for (http://madwifi.sf.net) but they also work well. I've been quite happy with Toshiba laptops, their keyboards are excellent for *nix users (they don't squash the keys less-used in windows), full home/pgup/pgdn/end keys (no fn-key combo) and best of all, the windows keys are tucked away in the upper right hand corner of the keyboard. Additionally, Fedora had no qualms with the widescreen display which was a relief, it used to be quite a chore to get anything but standard resolutions to work happily in XF86. The model I got was a bit spendy, but they sell the same design with a smaller HD, no DVD-RW, and lower processor speed at good prices. -- Matthew S.
