Hey everyone, Nothing seemed to be working so I took a brute force approach and did a complete purge of mysql-common, mysql-client, and mysql-server packages on this Debian system and re-installed them. Everything worked fine at that point. I must have screwed something up initially and not realized it. Redoing things was no big deal since I hadn't started using the database anyway. Thanks for the pointers, everyone. -Tim -- Tim Wilson Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA Educational technology guy, Linux and OS X fan, Grad. student, Daddy mailto: wilson at visi.com aim: tis270 public key: 0x8C0F8813 _______________________________________________ TCLUG Mailing List - Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota Help beta test TCLUG's potential new home: http://plone.mn-linux.org Got pictures for TCLUG?
