On my fedora box I have done the following: mkdir /var/log/pix touch pix.log added the following to syslog.conf "local20.* /var/log/pix/pix.log" /etc/rc.d/init.d/syslog restart The pix facility is 20 I have not added anything to iptables, but I stopped it for a minute to see if it made a difference and got the same results. Any ideas what am I missing?
