Is it new construction? If the walls are still open, look into flexible blue conduit (smurf tube) - Home Depot sells it by the roll, along with wall boxes that it plugs into. When we built our house, I 'home-runned' (home-ran?) one or two boxes in every room down to the utility room. Speaker wire, cat5, cable - when we need it we pull it. If you plan on staying there it's a great investment in the future. Not exactly the question you asked, but hope it helps.
