But you might just try running 'dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86' (as root) and see if you can choose siliconmotion as a possible driver. Run 'dpkg -l xserver-xfree86' to find out what version of xfree86 you are running. You might have to try running Ubuntu (another Debian based distro) that uses x.org <http://x.org>.
