You'd have to recompile the kernel and glibc, and possibly everything complicated in your system - and even if you do that, something (like NFS) would still break. The headers are just a 'shortcut' to glibc and/or the kernel, and if you just update the 'shortcut' and not the code that the shortcut refers to (which may be many things), something will expect something with 64 and recieve 32 (or vice versa), and blow up. > If you change it it will, for one thing, break NFS horribly.
