On the Linux only side of things, Konqueror, while probably not as good as Firefox or Opera, is worth checking out (and it requires KDE deps). As for simple, lean browsers: I like dillo - it leaves a small footprint and has tabs. Also, how does opera handle movies and streaming video/audio?
