Hi thanks for the response. I've removed the welcome.conf entirely, I've tried placing ErrorDocument in the VirtualHost section and receive the same response. I don't believe ErrorDocument is allowed in the Location section. I think I've gotten at least a little closer to the source of the problem. I believe LDAP authentication is preventing access to my ErrorDocument. But I'm still not clear why or how to solve the problem.
