i have a dell inspiron 7500 from around 2000 that runs ubuntu great. hardware detection is great. i also use a hp pavillion dv1000 from around 2005 that works great with ubuntu. i would guess you could probly pick and choose laptops to use. best buy has some for $299 and up that have windows xp home installed, i like xp over vista still, that could easily dual boot after a simple resize of the windows partition. i am more than happy to help through email, phone, or in person (i will even do it for you if needed; i really enjoy doing it) if you were so inclined. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
