Yeah, PSU failures are quite common. Especially with the quality of ones 
included with some older OEM systems (Emachines I'm pointing at you!!!)

Indeed, I've heard some ripoff and/or horror sorries of Geek Squad. 
Heard some even better stories from guys that used to work there!
