Chances are that another driver will work fine. OR, I have found drivers at specialty driver sites when I could not get something from a manufacturer's site. The Intel thing is probably a real modem and not a "winmodem" that depends on screwy software. If so, most any standard modem driver will work. Try a few before giving up and using an external modem. I've been through this before, but not for several years so I don't have any better details now.
