I've been living in St. Louis Park for the past 3 years and have enjoyed it
quite a bit. We get Comcast and Qwest DSL here for internet. You really
aren't much more than 5 miles from downtown and there are plenty of
alternative transportation options (buses, carpooling, bikes). The Greenway
goes right through SLP and into downtown if you are into that. Rent is cheap
for me also, I pay about $450 for a room w/ private bath and a couple of
roommates in a house. I'm sure you'd be able to find something in this area
that is inexpensive and works for you.
