That still doesnt get it into linux, but along thoes lines, if you were to create a windows CE or Bart PE virtualbox using uber small resource needs (maybe just the shell) you could share a folder from the vm to the host and run a script/program etc etc to auto sync it with Evolution or Thunderbird whatever? kind of a convoluted process but you get the idea. (Linux and Blackberry) Not exactly a great "clean and quick" solution, but how about running virtualbox with a small disk image of XP and Outlook? USB devices can be directed to the virtualized system with the click of button (works with every device I have). This got me natively running just Linux (and virtually Windows as needed) for the past 2 years. I don't miss the dual booting days :-) Jeremy MountainJohnson E-mail: Jeremy.MountainJohnson at gmail.com On 05/26/2010 07:06 PM, Mark Mitchell wrote: Date: Wed, 26 May 2010 17:45:34 -0500 From: mark.russel.mitchell at gmail.com To: tclug-list at mn-linux.org Subject: [tclug-list] Please help me dump windows! (Linux and Blackberry) The primary tether I have to the windows partition on my lappy is my blackberry and outlook. I've done a bit of fighting with Berry, but haven't gotten close to what I need, syncing contacts, todo, and calender. I've gotten backup to work, but that's it. Has anyone here gotten it to work reliably and (semi)seamlessly? I got as far as the msynctool stuff, and hoped that in the 2.5yrs since that was written, something a bit more seamless had been developed. _______________________________________________ TCLUG Mailing List - Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota tclug-list at mn-linux.org http://mailman.mn-linux.org/mailman/listinfo/tclug-list _________________________________________________________________ The New Busy is not the old busy.
