This guy (http://futurist.se/gldt/) keeps his version up-to-date. In browsing through this, I learned (among other things) that someone started a "Christian Edition" spinoff of Ubuntu in early '06, which was quickly followed by a "Satanic Edition" and "Muslim Edition".
