Larry Clemens [full digest deleted] I tried Xubuntu, but had a problem. The first problem was that it required pae in the kernel, but Pentium M doesn't have it. So I found this web page... http://www.webupd8.org/2012/11/how-to-install-ubuntu-1210-on-non-pae.html ...and used it to fix up my bootable USB stick. Then I tried again. This time it did not have a problem with pae, and it started showing the Ubuntu splash screen. I thought I was in the clear, but then it stopped, went to text mode, showed busybox and said "unable to find a medium containing a live file system". Now what? I really wish [XL]Ubuntu hadn't forced us to have pae. That's annoying. If they could have detected that and gone with the appropriate kernel, that would have been a lot better. Mike
