Thank you Paul for the great response. :) Today at work I posted the question to a Debian user. Their response was that there should be no major difference between Ubuntu and Mint repos. If I point the script to a Mint repo, really the outcome should be the same. I'll be working on that a little bit here in the next few days, so we'll find out.
