Yes, I know it's been said a million times on this list that the new DWL-650s are not a prism card. I'm just trying to see if the one I got is the new one or not. Currently I'm using it with Mandrake 9.0 and a wavelan driver. The card is working ok, but it tends to drop connection from time to time, especially with ftping large files. Since the wavelan driver works with this card, I'm assuming it's a prism chipset. Here's the info on the back of the card: H/W: J3 F/W: 1.3.5 I've tried the wlan-ng drivers before with no luck, probably my fault, I'm still kinda new at this stuff. But now that I've aged a bit and learned a lot, will the wlan-ng driver fix my dropped connections?
