So I took a pipline 75 and flashed it TAOS 8.0-101.0. At the time this pipeline was linked by serial connection and had the debug strap on (p1). At the PIPE75> prompt, I issued the 'df Download to Flash' command which worked flawlessly. Rebooted! Now the debug facility is no longer accessible over the serial port and when i try to configure the box over Telnet, I keep getting a stream of P75NVRAM: flash write @ 5E0004 failed errors. same error occurs if I try to tftp a load (like 7.3.2). So someone please tell me I don't have to unsolder a flash chip and program it externally!! How do I get back to square one here.
