Chris, Just about everything works with Ascends. I've not been paying attention myself, but heard that the chipsets have or are going to change. We see good performance with every real modem, LT Winmodems, and USR Winmodems. Rockwell winmodems seem to be a bit less stable, but haven't really looked at them for quite some time. Currently, I'm dialed into a 6096 from my laptop with an LT Winmodem using the default drivers in Windows 2000, and have a very stable 28.8/52k connection. (worth noting that customers dialed into this same POP often complain about connect speeds, but I've got brand new cat5 phone lines, so...) -Troy ** -----Original Message----- ** From: owner-ascend-users at max.bungi.com ** [mailto:owner-ascend-users at max.bungi.com]On Behalf Of Chris Clements ** Sent: Tuesday, August 29, 2000 9:03 AM ** To: ascend-users at bungi.com ** Subject: ** ** ** Ascend Gurus, ** ** What is the best modem brand/chipset to use with ** Ascend/Lucent MAX 4000s ** and 6000s?
