If you are indeed using Max 4000s, then you won't be able to upgrade to anything higher than 7.0.x for your 4000s. Unfortunately, TNTs started supporting stacking as of 7.2.x and higher. Version 7.2.x has a new stacking protocol version and won't be too compatible with the stacking code in 7.0.x of the Max 4000s, so it will most likely not work. Not the TNT stacking. I mean multilink PPP stacking. Ascend products can receive multilink PPP calls across boxes. Right now we have 10 MAX 4000s in a MP stack, and a MAX TNT that can also take MP calls. The problem that comes up is if one half of a MP call is in the MAX 4000 stack and the other half hits the TNT, it won't work. The TNT supports the Ascend multilink stacking, but it has some extra mulitcast options that aren't on the MAX 4000 and I don't know how I should set them. I have set the stack name and the UDP port to match the 4000's stack. ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com ++ Ascend Users Mailing List ++ To unsubscribe: send unsubscribe to ascend-users-request at bungi.com To get FAQ'd: <http://www.nealis.net/ascend/faq>
