What you described is not exactly what I want (I think)... I have the following: * WAP phone * MAX router * RADIUS Server/WAP Gateway (this is one computer system with only one network card) The WAP phones are connecting to the MAX and are sending ip packeges only to the WAP gateway. The WAP gateway is sending packages back to the WAP phones so other network components don't need a route to the WAP phones (but it is ok if they do, it really doesn't matter). I tried to following 3 configurations: - config 1, ip pool, this works! MAX = 195.43.39.114/27 (subnet mask = 255.255.255.224) RADIUS/Gateway = 195.43.39.115 (subnet mask = 255.255.255.224) IP pool = 195.43.39.105 to 195.43.39.108 In the connection profile is configured that a connecting WAP phone gets an IP address from the pool. In the Ethernet options of the MAX (Ethernet/ModConfig/EthernetOptions) proxy mode is set to active. The RADIUS server is used to authenticate incoming calls. - config 2, no ip pool, this doesn't work! MAX = 195.43.39.114/27 (subnet mask = 255.255.255.224) RADIUS/Gateway = 195.43.39.115 (subnet mask = 255.255.255.224) RADIUS assign unique ip address to every connecting user, they are all in the pool: 195.43.39.105 to 195.43.39.108 In the connection profile the ip pool is turned off. I tried all proxy modes. I can see the the WAP phone is able to reach the gateway but the MAX doesn't respons to ARP request from the gateway. - config 3, no ip pool, different subnet, this doesn't work! MAX = 195.43.39.114/27 (subnet mask = 255.255.255.224) RADIUS/Gateway = 195.43.39.115 (subnet mask = 255.255.255.224) RADIUS assign unique ip address to every connecting user, they are all in the 10.0.0.* network The RADUS/Gateway has a static route for the 10.0.0.* network to the MAX.
