I think I have seen others on this list report finger not working on 8.0.2. It really sounds like a bug so you might want to report it Lucent support. Do you see TCP port 79 being listened on if you go into the term serv and issue a "show tcp connection" command? I use finger on both of my Max 4048's with no problem. A 6048 loaner I have is refusing finger requests, even though it's set to finger=yes under Ethernet-> Mod Config.
