	The Max has onboard HDLC resources which it uses to terminate
	Digital 64K/56K calls, as from an ISDN BRI.

	THe modems are for analogue (client modem like V.90) connections.

	With 48 modems you can thus terminate 48 analogue calls.

	The other 48/44 (-4 * D channels) calls would have to be digital
	data calls, terminated on the on-board hdlc resources

	If you have ISDN dialup users, you may want to keep one or more
	of the T1 lines beyond the 2 you have modems to support.
