Hi there.

All indicators so far point to a lack of true T1 bandwidth from our
provider, but I'd like to run a couple more tests before I offer them
"proof". We've been getting barraged with customer calls that moving around
the 'net has been horrible the last few weeks. I'm wondering if any of you
fine folks could help me out.

What I need is a couple/few URLs to files that are known to be served up on
a good running hi-speed line, and some download speeds that you get on your
good running hi-speed line (T1 or cable or whatever) when you transfer them.
I'd like to make some comparisons to what I'm getting on ours. These could
be either HTTP or allowed anonymous FTP.

What I'm looking for are files around the 1 to 2 Meg size so that the
average download rate should be settled down by the time it reaches the end
of them. And preferably from a site that just hums right along.

I've run a few tests so far, but I have no real way of knowing that any of
them are being served up at peak speed.

I appreciate any help offered.

Dave.
