Is there any type of new lighting fixture or dimmer switch being used nearby? It has been my experience on a few occasions to see this type of interference knock out a DSL connection. -----Original Message----- From: rafal at inet.pl [mailto:rafal at inet.pl] Sent: Tuesday, January 23, 2001 1:05 PM To: ascend-users at bungi.com Subject: FW: (ASCEND) DSL Pipline HST <-> DSLMax Hi all, I have encountered very strange behavior of one of my SDSL links, namely very stable and good copper line to my customer ( 600 ohms - running 768 kbs) with good noise and attenuation figures started to be very unstable - by simply floating. I had Pipeline connecting for 10 sec and disconnecting again.. I run extensive line tests, exchange some copper between me and CO and finally I went to customer to check the modem. Modem is OK - I run test with modem connected in my operations center - perfect, stable connection. After all it looks like some other similar signal is interrupting the transmission frequently causing Pipeline to go Up and Down. But how I can trace this signal ? From my experience I know that ISDN on the same copper or close can do this. I ask my telco to measure the line again but form their perspective everything is fine. Noise figures are the same as before, impedance and isolation readings are excellent, but modem is not running. How can I isolate the problem ? regards rafal szmidt ++ Ascend Users Mailing List ++ To unsubscribe: send unsubscribe to ascend-users-request at bungi.com To get FAQ'd: <http://www.nealis.net/ascend/faq> ++ Ascend Users Mailing List ++ To unsubscribe: send unsubscribe to ascend-users-request at bungi.com To get FAQ'd: <http://www.nealis.net/ascend/faq>
